Dinner and wine in Benalmádena: by the glass or by the bottle?

The table is set, the menu is open and a familiar question comes up: shall we share a bottle or choose wine by the glass? For dinner in Benalmádena, the answer depends on your food, your tastes and how many people would like wine. At La Ruta, that is a useful starting point without having to know every winery.

By the glass, when tastes differ

Wine by the glass is practical when one person prefers white and another red, when only one guest wants wine, or when you would like to change styles between dishes. The by-the-glass list is a specific selection: not every bottle on the wine list is offered this way.

By the bottle, when you share a preference

A bottle makes sense when several people enjoy the same style and would like to keep it throughout the meal. It also opens up other wines on our list. Check each wine’s serving format before comparing prices; do not assume every bottle or glass has the same capacity.

Three starting points from our list

Cepa 21: a Ribera del Duero red with red fruit and floral notes in our wine list’s profile. It is listed by the glass and by the bottle. It is a starting point if you are choosing meat and would like to explore that style.

Melior Verdejo: a Rueda white included in the by-the-glass selection. An alternative if you would like to start with white wine rather than join the rest of the table in choosing a red.

La Guita: a dry manzanilla sherry also listed by the glass. If you enjoy dry sherry styles, consider it with an aperitif or starters. A good pairing still needs to be a wine you enjoy.

How to choose with the digital wine list

Switch the list to EN and open By the glass if that is what you have in mind. For bottles, filter by type and region, set a price limit and compare two wines. The individual profiles explain the style, grapes and winery, with food suggestions from our menu to guide you.

Once you have chosen, show the wine to your waiter. The on-screen selection helps explain your choice; it does not place an order or confirm availability. Our team will help with the next step.

The setting is part of the evening

In our Torrequebrada dining room, the artwork, tables and wine glasses are part of the evening. Whether you are planning dinner for two or a meal with friends, you can explore the menu before arriving and spend more time enjoying the table than deciphering wine names.

Find us at Avda. del Sol 18, Torrequebrada, Benalmádena Costa. Check the current selection and prices on the wine list, and book a table when you are ready to visit.
