Looking for a steak restaurant in Benalmádena? Before choosing how you would like it cooked, the menu may leave you wondering: ribeye, entrecôte, bone-in steak or T-bone? At Asador Ruta del Ibérico in Torrequebrada, we cook with a holm-oak charcoal oven. This guide helps you choose a cut to suit your taste.

Start with how you like to eat steak

Think about three things: whether you enjoy a steak on the bone or prefer an easy-to-cut boneless piece; whether you like marbling or a more uniform cut; and whether you are ordering for yourself or sharing. Then check the menu format: a price per portion and a price per kilogram are different ways of ordering.

Ribeye and Cube Roll: the boneless rib cut

Ribeye comes from the rib section. It is a boneless cut appreciated for its texture and marbling, which can vary from one piece to another. Cube Roll is the trade name for the boneless section from which these steaks are cut: if you see that name on our menu, it does not mean a different steak from ribeye.

Entrecôte: ask which cut it is

The word entrecôte is not used in exactly the same way on every menu. Our beef entrecôte reference is a striploin cut, from a different part of the loin from ribeye. If you have a particular preference for texture or fat, tell our team rather than choosing by the name alone.

Bone-in steak and T-bone: two choices on the bone

A chuleta is a bone-in steak. Check its weight and how it is priced, particularly if you plan to share. The weight of a bone-in cut includes the bone, so it is not equivalent to the same weight of boneless steak.

T-bone has a T-shaped bone separating striploin and tenderloin. It gives you two cuts in one steak. It is not simply a bone-in ribeye, and is a good choice if you would like to compare those two textures.

Doneness and the charcoal grill are part of the choice

Ask for the doneness you enjoy: rare, medium or well done. If you are unsure how to explain it, describe how you would like the centre to look when cut. Thickness and the characteristics of each steak matter; our team can guide you when ordering.

Before visiting, check the current cuts, serving formats and prices on the menu. Find us at Avda. del Sol 18, Torrequebrada, Benalmádena Costa. Then choose your table and let the charcoal grill play its part.
